What distinguishes a VELUX pleated blind

The advantages of pleated blinds are clear: They offer flexible light and privacy protection, run very smoothly and offer stepless position adjustment. In addition, VELUX pleated blinds make room for a unique lighting mood and create a feel-good atmosphere. 

With their modern slimline design, they can be integrated into any roof window. Our pleated blinds are available in 20 different colours and three operations. Thanks to the flexible positioning of the functional handle bar, these blinds are very easy to operate. 

We only use high quality and durable materials for each pleated blind. Every VELUX pleated blind is made of translucent polyester fabric. The pull cords are made of wear-resistant polyester and aren't visible. These blinds run on narrow, elegant side rails made of anodised aluminium so that no light can come in at the edges. All fabrics and materials are tested for their quality through complex test procedures. We guarantee colour fastness and tear resistance.

Operations and colours

Manually operated

Manually operated blinds with controlbar are well suited for roof windows within reach. You operate the blind by pulling down the controlbar. Top and side channels ensure a smooth operation and enables you to position the blind anywhere in the window.

Electric

Electrically operated blinds are recommended for VELUX INTEGRA® electrically operated roof windows. The blind is operated via a remote control or wall switch that makes it an ideal solution for blinds that are out of reach. Control your blind from anywhere in your room for that extra level of comfort.

Solar

Solar powered blinds are perfect for manual and solar INTEGRA® roof windows that are out of reach. The blind comes with a wall switch operated by a standard battery that is recharged by solar power which is good for up to 600 operations even if there is no sun for recharging. The blind is easy to install as no wiring is needed. Manual operation is also possible
