You can add up to 10 sensors to a VELUX ACTIVE gateway. If more than 10 sensors are needed, divide the house into two areas and use a gateway for each area
No. A sensor can only control the products in the room it is placed in. It is recommended to install a sensor in each room to achieve the most optimal automatic control of your products and to take advantage of all the benefits of VELUX ACTIVE
For the most accurate indoor climate measurements, place the sensor following these guidelines:

Mount it on an interior wall at a comfortable height (90–170 cm) for easy access and correct readings.

Avoid placing it on an external wall, where temperatures can fluctuate unnaturally.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, which may affect temperature sensing.

Do not position it above radiators or heating elements, as rising heat can distort measurements.

Avoid placing it behind curtains, furniture or other obstacles, which can block airflow
Yes. You can disable automations per room in the VELUX app by turning off climate automation or by using schedules that take priority.
Yes. Any time you manually open or close your VELUX products, either using the built‑in switch on the sensor or the VELUX app. Your manual action temporarily overrides the automatic ventilation from the sensor.
